Spot on and well stated, Reggie. A friend has kept her grandmother’s cards and letters she received from her boyfriend/husband. All the holidays and letters from abroad during the Great War. Reading through them with the slant of today makes one weep for what we’ve lost in an almost artful form of communication.
Is it too much to ask that we at least return to sending “thank you” notes? That quickly devolved to a text message and finally nothing at all.
